Days in the Park

We had a really good day playing at the big park in Quito.  Lucas especially liked the really big slide and Melayna loved the swings.  We also tried some mango in the park, and I have to say it was the best mango I have ever had.  The kids loved it too.  The kids enjoyed "working out" on the work out equipment in the park too.  We walked around and looked at all the vendors' things.  There are a lot of nice things for sale especially the beautiful artwork.  My favorite was the hammock swing seat which looks so comfortable.  If we think we can fit it in our luggage, we will find a place to hang it in our new house that we don't have yet.  After playing at the park we walked to the cafe that I went to in May last year, but after we found it, it turned out it was closed so we went to a little bakery close by and got a little treat.  We headed home after that and had a good lunch and then Lucas and I played some soccer and Melayna napped while Matt worked on work stuff.  It was a really laid back, wonderful day.  Enjoying the small stuff.
