A Fun Day at the Pool

Today we tried out the pool at Parque del Moya.  We had been wanting to go to the pool since we first went to the park but never had yet until today.  It was nice.  They have four different areas of the pool that are all connected but they are different depths.  They also have a big water slide that Lucas rode about 25 times.  He and I even rode it together a few times.  To swim here you have to wear a swim cap so we all sported our purple caps from the grocery store.  Both kids wore them without a problem which surprised me.  The pool was a little cold so we did not stay long, but it was still fun.  The pool even had a really big area where Melayna could just touch and she enjoyed that and the steps.  Their lips matched their hats when we left.  After the pool we ate and the kids rested while I walked to the store and got groceries.  When I got home a few kids were playing soccer in the courtyard so Lucas went out and played.  After a while I went to check on him and they asked us to play tag so we played for 45 minutes or so.  I love being a kid again and remembering the long summer night playing with Jill until bedtime.  I wish we could all go back to those simple times and enjoy them over and over again.  I recommend playing and being a kid again when you can because it is still as much fun as it was when we were kids.  After tag, the little boy, David asked Lucas to play at his house.  Lucas had a blast.  The dad asked Lucas to come back any time.  I think I am more excited than Lucas, and he is super excited.  It is really good to see.  It was another good weekend.  On another really good note, Melayna had her first totally successful potty training day in months!!!!!  We are on a roll!  Looking forward to another week.
