Play Date

So today we had a play date with the family we met at church.  After our day at the daycare, I called Llorena and she was planning to go to story time in the valley nearby and asked us to go.  That meant we had to rush home, change, wash faces, fix hair, eat lunch and then practically run back to church to meet her.  The kids really wanted a play date so we made it work and ate the fastest lunch ever.  We went over to their house and the kids played with toys for a while and had some fruit.  Llorena said she looked up how to have a play date on the internet which I thought was sweet.  She studied abroad in the US during high school and said she knew how it felt to be in a foreign country and wanted us to feel welcome.  After playing for a little bit we went to story time at a really awesome book store.  They read an Easter story in Spanish and then one in English.  Then they did an Easter project and made bunny masks.  It was cute.  We looked at books for a while and then Llorena took us to the pizza place her family owns and we had some really good pizza.  It turns out they got their recipe from the owners of a good pizza place in Lexington KY called Joe bologna's.  What a small world.  She then invited us to hang out again and see the changing of the guards one day.  I am glad there are people like her in Ecuador.  We are so blessed.   By the way we will be going to Otovala tomorrow and staying the night so there will likely not be a blog.  I will write when we return on Sunday.
